In my system, the '52 Sylvania 6SN7GT and a select pair of 6SN7W tall bottles are best. I sometimes also use TungSol round plates but you loose some "tube sound" with them. The Raytheon VT231s in the back sockets only add some dynamics and tone that four Sylvanias or TungSols or any four others can not produce. Four of one tube is just too much of that tube in a Cary 98. You have a VERY nice system.
