Digging through my 6SN7s this morning to see what I wanted to try in my pre this weekend, I pulled out a pair of Sylvania 6SN7WGTs with a greenish base. They are "chrome domes" , not just a little silver on top. Nice open semi lush Sylvania sound. What's the difference in sound, construction (other than being obviously top getter), etc between them and a Sylvania '52 6SN7GT or a VT 231?
