I have a 98, and have rolled the hell out of it. Best tubes in the rear two sockets are Raytheon VT-231s. They are neutral but add lots of dynamics. Front two sockets are to your/system's taste. Mine prefers a carefully matched pair of Sylvania 6SN7Ws(black base, tall bottle) from Tube World. I change to TungSol Round Plate, Sylvania and RCA VT231s depending on mood and music.
