I can agree with this.I have tried almost every Mullard varient, CV491 long plate with square getter, Amperex D getter 1950's long plate.
They are all ok, until you hear something better. ie. not an ECC82 type.
this is just my opinion, but I HAVE been there and done that.
DC coupled cathode CF's and plate loaded. Find a 6SN7, 12Bh7, even better ECC99.shane.
