To have power tubes really matched - you want to have them read generally the same for both transconductance (micromhos - from the better tube testers) AND for current draw (milliamps) at plate, screen and grid voltages that the tubes will see in their particular end application. Most tube testers won't provide that voltage.
Two tubes can read exactly the same in micromhos but be way off in current draw at working voltage.
