Thank all of you for your assistance, especially Bambi for her early reply that set my mind at ease. That was my first tube with internals like that. As I said, I installed it in my Cary CD player yesterday, and it sounds as good as it should. I have six pair of 7316s, half 59 D getter Bugle Boys and the rest 59 Amperex PQ. They all have about the same great performance. I use them in my preamp and the Cary CDP.
