Well, there is someone in this thread, who defines NOS in the strict sense of the word, who has done just that.I agree that the term NOS has become abused. I believe that there is also the term ANOS--which means almost new old stock. Maybe YECH could have used that term. However, at what point would a tube not be ANOS? (See above.) At any rate, it doesn't seem as though he was trying to hide anything. If I had been a prospective buyer, I would have been more interested in the original source (dealer) of the tubes.
Question--If a person did not actually purchase the tubes back in the 40s, 50s, etc., how can anyone actually claim to have NOS?
