The Bat VK 50SE is the first BAT product that I have owned--but it probably will not be the last.I have used solid state equipment for most of the 30+ years that I have been into audio. I have certainly appreciated what tubes do well, but there was always that too romantic,lack of bass and dynamics that sent me back to solid state. The BAT has literaly changed my life. It is as perfect a sound ( for me), as I could possibly hope for. It has extension in both directions ( just shy of Krell Bass ), walk into soundstage, magical midrange, dynamics and " PASSION ". In three words---I LOVE IT !!!
