"Sometimes I forget that this is an Asylum, where some Inmates "listen" to music through graphs, charts, and spec sheets while others actually hear their music as reproduced by their sources via electronics and speakers.
"And some inmates can do both.
Show me a schematic and I can see distortions, harmonic and FR (phase), and "hear" what that will sound like.
Give me the same amp and I will hook it up and hear with my ears that which I saw with my eyes.
Physics man, physics. There's just no getting around it.
Here's an example.

In a circuit that requires a 100 volt peak to peak swing I don't need to hear this in order to know that it will sound bad.
