84-05With 50 hours on them they are still thin and grainy. I will give them another 25 hours in a set Paramours and then try one in a different circuit (a Sherwood tuner is the only thing that I have on hand).
Could be a mismatch with the circuit, or just bad tubes (they both sound exactly the same). I have had NOS 7308's (in other gear) take as long as 75 hours to open up, but they also sounded decent early on (not that familar with 12AT7's).
Anyone else tried these? They sell for as little as $12 each.
