Hi,About the "a watt is a watt" thing there was two interesting articles in Audiophile. They are in the www-archive but I'm to lazy right now to find the links.
Anyhow: a watt wasn't a watt for tube amps if one looked upon it in a short time envelope (I think the dynamic output was above the anode loss for the EL84 pp which is somewhat physicaly impossible if it wasn't for the energy storage coils in the OPT).But generaly 'a watt is a watt'.
