Here's my 'two-bits'. I went from a Pass Aleph 3 (pretty highly regarded single-ended SS amp - 30/ch) to Decware Signature Monoblocks (5w/ch SETs). The sound of my system is better in every regard. I am particularly smitten by the sound of vinyl. The great thing about these amps, besides the great sound, is the fact that the output tubes (SV83) are dirt cheap (though they need to be changed about once every 1.5 years).System:
Decware Signature Monoblocks
Sonic Frontiers Line-2 (still using stock tubes)
Sonic Frontiers CD-1
EAR 834P (NOS Tungsrams)
Oracle Delphi Mk.V/Rega RB900/Goldring Excel VX
Tyler Acoustics 7U w/ SEAS Millenium tweeter
Analysis Plus Oval 9/Silver Oval biwire
