I use a pair of them in my cd player. They came stock with joint army navy tubes which were okay. My favorites are the Ediswan 6922/2492, big sound, exquisitely detailed. I also really like Bugle Boys which are ever so slightly tamer on all scales. Tungsrams have a big sound, excellent detailing and lots of great weight. Siemens are much the same. I have a quad of nos, nib Teslas which I don't much care for. It's been awhile since I listened to them so I can't remember what specifically I didn't like. I'd be happy to give them a good home if someone wants to pay the postage. Some people rave about Mullards. I found them to be too far forward *in my system.* They had huge bass but were boomy.
