I had the same experience with the stock EH6922. I went through two within a few months due to noise. I put a 6H23 type 3 from Upscale Audio and have had zero issues for over a year....plus it sounded much better. They are Volkshod / Rocket and are very rugged. I also use them as driver tubes in my Quicksilvers.
