I use a Marantz 8B (one of Joe Rosen's favorite amps) wired in triode on my ESL and Randy Stringer at QSandD says it is one of the best amps with Quads. In UL they put out about 30W per channel with EL 34s (get out those BBs!)and the weird load doesn't faze them. Jay
