Well, I disconnected all connections to pins (4) #9 including the resistor and jumper coming form the filter capacitor. I then soldered a 100ohm/1 watt resistor between pins #7 & #9 for all four tubes. I turned the amp on and all that came out was a hum through the speaker in the right channel. No other sound was heard. I wred the amp back to normal and it work fine.Lance
