Most of the Eico labeled tubes I have seen are Mullards. A couple of Dutch Amperex small signal tubes, and of course American (Westinghouse? I really don't know)7591s in the stereo 70 integrated I had years ago. Mullard El34s in my hf 60s, with GEC Z729s and a metal-base GZ34 stock. I have never seen a Telefunken labeled Eico-- but then as I have posted previously, Teles did not command anywhere near the respect (and $!) in the Golden Age as they do today. Eico was a quirky little company that used the best iron available, excellent circuit topology, and solid British-made tubes. Their gear, from the ST 40 and 70 integrateds to the top-end HF series, is perhaps the most consistently underrated and underappreciated in all of tube hifi, IMHO. Chris
