Thanks, I'll try that. I have a spare 12AU7, so if one's weak, I can probably swap it as a temporary fix.I did try hooking up a stand-alone pre-amp to the tape-out jack on the back of my amp. (Thereby driving only the power-amp section in the Eico.) I had no problems to speak of with the external pre-amp, so I am assuming it's a problem in the Eico pre-amp somewhere... Hopefully it is as easy as a weak 12AU7... They were out of the circuit this afternoon when I was running seperate pre-amp, so it would seem to follow.
