Has anyone replaced the two 6CA4/EZ81 rectifiers in an Eico HF-81 with solid state rectifiers? I know it would bring the voltage up and I'd have to use a resistor or resistors to drop the voltage. What would this do to the amp's sound? and one more question, has anyone tried HEXFRED diodes I've seen these on the VTV website, are these any good?
