I use Quad II's. A very well respected person in the UK hifi business (no not Ken Kessler!) informed me in a letter that he used single ended 2A3 on ESL57's, and that for everything except the largest orchestral recordings they were fine. Anyone confirm this? It seems a bit unlikely to me. I also happen to disagree strongly with the idea that Quad II's work on ESL63's, but people say that they do.
