In my VTL 225's the JJ's:1) Couldn't handle the 600 v B+ (Most EL34 amps run a lower voltage)
2) If they didn't smoke they wouldn't hold their bias long enough to even attempt to listen to them.
The Svetlana'a work fine, and sound great. Not a problem with 16 of them.
I have 8 (unused) JJ's (and a couple of barely used one's) I'll let go cheap if you are running a lower voltage and want give them a try. Just give me an email.
