I do not know the Vao or Va parameter. Shortened life? If bias correctly I do not believe life would be shortened. As for used tubes, I have no issue with used as long as the tubes pass a 'life' test.Many 1950s organs received a tube replacement in the 1960s, then used say a few hundred hours before 'mothballing' the organ. It all depends what the used tube is & cost.
