I have talked to many Jolida experts and people that have heard them and they say they are built with the same quality as the bigger mmodels like the 302b, they just make less power which i dine with me. I kinda want no more than 20 watts any more would be a waste with my speakers 98/db sensitive. Some have even said the 102b sounds better than the 302b because alot of people prefer the el84 over the el34. And for $550 brand new whats to lose if I dont like it I can pretty much resell it for $500. I also plan on doin some upgrades on the amp. I would:
1. Change coupling caps to pio or jupiterwax
2. change resistors to either Riken or tants
3. Hexfreds
4. Power suplly caps to BG with poly bypass caps
5. bypass balance and add tkd or noble pot
6. Posibly wire the el 84 in triode
7. Use some NOS 12ax7, i have a bunch or tele, mullard, rca...
8. Get some NOS el84

Since I have alot fo the parts needed such as the NOS 12ax7, HExfreds, coupling caps... The upgrades would only cost another 1-200.

What other ideas do you have for a lower power(under 30wpc) integrted amp for under $1000??
