I think Im gonna try the Jolida 102b, its only $550 and it uses el84 and 12ax7's. There are also alot of upgrades that can be done to the amp. So for the price I might go for it. I kinda just want to hear my speakers witha PP amp instead of SET. Im looking for a bit more drive and punch for rock music. I know the 102b only puts out aboput 18 watts but that is still twice what my current amp does. Ive also heard el84 is a good rock n roll tube as is the el34. Hey what do I have to lose I buy it new for $550 if i dont like it I sell it used for $500 I lose $50 not a big deal.
