I have a pair of NOS GE 5963 tubes lying around that I am curious what they sound like. I know that they are not a direct replacement for the 12au7, so I was wondering if they will work in my Eico HF-81? Has anybody tried the 5963 in this amp? My original mullards that I am using now sound like they are on their last leg!
