and after reading some reviews (Wrong thing to do) there were a couple that and particularly said the JJ's are a scary tube and that is don't hide or mask the music.
As of today, and since the beginning of the break in I can tell the difference in tone settings of guitars and bass from the other instruments that are still nice and clear like strings (piano), drums, and horns. Just like they are in a real band setting. This is what I love about these JJ tubes.
Also, I think the input tube has a part on how the JJ 300b's or any other 300b tubes.
Some other have said that even those other more expensive tubes may sound clearer, they can sometimes get too bright. The JJ's are clear and I hear none of the Veil others talk about. I was thinking of getting the Linlai 300b's but I may just stay with the JJ's in my Masterpiece preamp.
Also the JJ's have a rep for durability so that's another thing I like. I have read that the other more expensive tubes mostly Chinese have gone bad after a few hundred hrs.
