I would have thought by now that when purchasing 'Gold Lion' new, people would know it was made to the highest available standard at a reasonable price in a Russian factory. If he was interested in profit only he would have bought up every nos USA and GB tube he could and charge loads of money for them later on. HiFi was a small market compared to musicians i.e. guitar players
