The Fake Tube Thread




I saw these counterfeit tubes tonight and had the idea to start this thread as a place we can show off the fakes we come across out in the wild. Hopefully that can be a learning aid for those newer to the tube game and educate on some of the tell tail signs to look out for. This is a particularly bad attempt and extremely lazy try at a fake. #1 thing that should get anyone's radar up is the china factor. #2 when will these dummies realize that if you are trying to pull off a fake 60 year old tube that a brand new white painted label just done probably a week ago kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. White tends to not be so white even if kept in perfect conditions after some years as we all know.
