She says, and my experience concurs, that most tube gear gets about as good as it's going to get in about a half-hour. If that's the case, there is no reason to leave it on 24/7. And as all my tube gear comes from her, it all has soft-start circuits, which eases tube and capacitor wear, they say.
If not using it for a couple hours or more, I'll turn it all off. If less than that, and I'm home, I leave it on.
