Yes, a larger value will extend the low frequency cutoff point and yield more extended bass. However, depending on the amps design, lowering the cutoff frequency could also lead to an instability problem know as "motorboating". You may be able to get away with using a .33uf coupling cap or not, it depends on the specifics of your circuit and power supply capacity. Perhaps someone who knows your amp better than I could help out here. Certainly .22uf will work fine and I doubt if you could tell any difference between this and the original .25uf. Hope this helps a little.
