I use the Penta Lab Shuguang KT88SC solid plate, 1960’s vintage GEC and reissue Gold Lion KT88 tubes and find it difficult to say one is better than the others.
I got the Penta Lab tubes two years ago or so? Anyway it took several phone calls and six weeks for the tubes to show up.
Shameless plug….Jim got a tested matched quad of the new Gold Lions to me in two days.
