Wrong. You need to read up on your copyright law. All works are automatically copyrighted by the creator, unless in the case of work-for-hire the copyright goes to who did the hiring.it does however require a specific statement to put something in public domain. Nothing is ever automatically put into public domain except works that are very old and the copyright owner has abandoned them.
To boot, reusing others photos is illegal per Ebay rules, specifically. (if the above copyright issues didn't cover it - which they do)

yes, actually it does, if you create it. Applies for work such as photos or writing.
