Just as you say, Spafford is the only person to call someone an asshole--and worse. He is the only one who goes off on tirades--Yet Mike is the one who is told that he as an anger problem????For the record, a while back, I sold Mike some tubes that I no longer needed. They were two matched pairs that had gotten mixed up. It was one of the smoothest transactions on Audiogon that I have ever had.
Also--I am just speculating, but I would guess that had Mike purchased these tubes on eBay, from a "stranger", that he would have probably just chalked it up to experience, and not pursued the matter. The fact is, Spafford set himself up as an expert and "friend" to people on this forum--which generates a certain amount of trust. As far as I am concerned, all he had to do was tell Mike that he would refund his money--like any "friend" would do.
