As a law-and-order type, I would think that you would have more appreciation for a basic tenet of our justice system, towit: The accused has a right to face his accusers, or in other words, to know who they are. One gives up one's right to privacy once a public statement of (purported) fact is made which could be somehow detrimental to another.And let us not forget that old chestnut, the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Simply saying something doesn't make it so---that is why we try cases in courts, rather than on open internet forums. Facts must be presented, and evidence must be produced to back up the facts. There was not even a smattering of such in the case in point.
Finally, I must agree with Douglas, there is no earthly reason not to be registered here, as no one can mail you anything without your consent.
