which seems to be that there are lots of folks here who give others tremendous latitude, mainly because they have not been hassled by the perpetrator. They will somewhat aggressively defend their curious position. Some of them become disturbed when this situation is pointed out to them. When the situation is reversed many of those same people will likely not be as passive. It does take all types. I actually do mean that in a positive way, as those folks can be a moderating influence.Speaking soley for myself, I think that it is a fine, and perhaps useful thing, to be conflict-adverse and slow to seek or acknowledge fault in others. Unfortunately for myself, I do not share the increasingly prevalent life shaping mantra of many people: "whatever". Maybe I am too detail focused, and too law-and-order by nature, but I think people should be held to account for their misdeeds. I never look at them the same way again. They are on the short list. I leave them negative feedback and endure their pathetic retaliation.
I think some of this mess could have been avoided in several ways. If the person whose post began this latest round of chris-crap had contacted the seller earlier, and gotten some details, some of the misunderstanding could have been avoided. Of course, CS could have actually offered his tubes with an accurate and complete description.
In my experience, saying sorry just doesn't cut it sometimes. Changes need to follow from these moments of clarity. In the past, they have not. The individual in question has been making waves of varying height here since his arrival on this board. He apparently doesn't quite get the honorable-internet-seller thing. The little red flags ought to be up. At least some little tiny ones.
The folks who have commented that they don't put stock in negative comments and will trust in someone until ill deeds are proven is strangely naive and unsophisticated, especially in light of what record is available on this individual. The fact that you are disinclined by your nature to process the available data doesn't devalue it.
It is particularly interesting that in the minds of some, not being a registered inmate somehow devalues someones posting status. How is that? This is a public forum. If someone posts a brilliant comment, will he be chided because he isn't registered?
That someone made a negative comment on Mr. CS, and chose to remain anonymous is treated as a more serious offense to the common good than the accumulated works of Mr. CS. Don't cut of the head of the messanger. The post is not without merit because of poster-annonymity. Privacy is a right. You can choose to disregard the record that exists on Mr. CS, but you cannot legitimately criticize on the basis of poster-annonymity. You don't have to like it, but your aversions are not logical. FWIW, I withdrew my registration as it opened me up to spamming and badgering by some bizzaros, including some inmates. I still support the forum, I have my stash of yo-yos, but that is not relevant to the content of my post.
