Please see my other comments concerning this particular thread -- I agree that this should have been worked out privately. On the other hand, I think this board should be a place to discuss the quality of tube vendors/sellers in general, after all, this is dedicated to us tube users! If there are dishonest businesses out there, we should report it -- not out of vindictiveness (as is the situation on this thread) but simply as a "consumer reports".

For example, the information I've read here regarding a certain well-known Hong-Kong dealer may have saved me from being another victim of his re-labelling rip-offs. Conversely, positive assessments of other dealers has steered me in their direction. I see nothing at all wrong with that.

I feel that, to a large degree, the attitude of the critic determines the appropriate of comments here. Mike Currie's use of the board for personal reasons (with headlines like "when are you going to answer me Chris Spafford!") shows misuse. However, had he stated something to the effect that he has been dealing with Chris, is dissatisfied with the tubes, Chris won't respond and could anyone who knows Chris help him out, I might have been better disposed to his comments.
