let's look at this objectively. A guy receives some tubes from Chris on Friday, and by Sunday night, he's here smearing the guy not once - but twice. There is something not right with that. Talk about impatience, panic, and jumping the gun...over what? Some tubes?

Chris has been around here for awhile. It's not my place, or anyone else's place, to comment or judge on his personal situation. Sure, he himself has done so, I found it inappropriate and it made me uneasy, this isn't a help line after all. But that's his business,and sometimes he doesn't help himself.

There's a bunch of anonymous cowards chiming in on this thread to add to the smear. Those gutless cowards should be hunted down by the moderator and have their address blocked. If you want to enter into a discussion like this, do it with a registered name or email address, don't do a gutless drive-by shooting and then cut and run.

12 6DJ8's for $95?? What was expected? NOS Amperex pinched waists in original boxes? There are too many folks out there scouring the net for "bargains" and then complaining when what they get isn't the same stuff that people pay top dollar for. If you can't afford to get the prime stuff, don't whine. Chris never said pairs of same make & date, and he never said what they would test at. He said 12 phono grade 6DJ8's, and that he would match. If I were getting 12 6DJ8's for $95, I would be happy if 6 turned out to be really good.

But that is all besides the point.

Sed, Bill O'C., only you have got this one right. It is sad that Chris is down right now, and this whole thread makes me sad - sick, even, at how people will jump in to kick a person who has problems. I hope those people get a few blows in their lives to learn a little sympathy and compassion. Chris doesn't help himself by how he posted here, but really, this whole thread is appaling at how people will automatically jump in with both kness jerking to spread the negativity around, instead of showing some understanding and assuming the good.

All for a guy who didn't get a reply from Chris in two days and was so full of anger that he had to go smear a person in public. It is pathetic.
