Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I'm interested in building several channels of hybrid amps for my recently built Linkwitz Phoenix speakers (www.linkwitzlabs.com). I want a MOSFET power stage and a tube driver stage. I found a schematic and PCB board for this application at:http://digilander.libero.it/essentialaudio/hybrid_circuit.htm
However, this is a Class A circuit. Since I am going to have 6+ channels of this amp operating, I would like the efficiency of a Class AB amp.
Does anyone have a good resource for a hybrid Class AB amp? I am willing to draw and cut my own PCBs. I would prefer the tube to operate at the same voltage as the output stage, which should be around the +/- 35-45 volt range. The 6DJ8 family seems appropriate, but I am also drawn to the 6SN7 family.
Thank you!
