Well, I own the 805C and use them with a speaker that is rated at about 92db and an impedence of 10 -14 ohms. The bass is excellent (a change in preamps helped in this regard, showing that the amp is only one factor for overall bass response). I do not know the 805B but one review I read of the 805C mentioned bass as one of the big areas of improvement over the 805B. Obviously speakers will make a big difference. To be sure, perhaps you should call or write to Cary www.caryaudio.com Dennis Had is the owner and is quite freindly. Kirk is a technical guy there who is pretty knowledgable about the various products.
