Yes, I have three tabletop tube radios, all of which work. Actually one is at an ex-girlfriends place so I may not see that one again. One of them I do use regularly for listening to NPR. We have an all-news NPR station on AM in Iowa City so that helps make the radio useful. At one time I also had a console radio, I bought a total basket case radio very cheaply, thinking that I would fix it. I found that I was not yet skilled enough for a radio that far gone & ended up junking it (after nearly frying myself). I did save the tubes, though, and someday I will get another console model. I won't buy one that is so far gone next time.
