Re: Need help on 2A3 VS 300B differences.

Bryan F is pretty much on target. I'm going to put in my 2¢ tho. One thing to remember, is that the Cary 2A3 amps uses KR 2A3s which are different in several ways. First, they have 5 watts instead of about 3ish. Second, that tube has a different sonic signature. It is more of a muscular sound, closer to 300B than anything else. As said, you will have a harder time finding speakers for the 2A3 amps.
Just out of curiosity, why Cary?
