While I have a nice little stash of NOS tubes, I think I will put off buying any more. I will reward the current makers of tubes with my dollars. Bottlehead seems to be phasing in the 6N1P and I see George Wright is trying the 6dn7 (NOS , but dirt cheap). Also there is alot of talk on these forums, by people who know much more than I ever will, about tubes like 6H30 or whatever. Understand, I am not saying current manufacture is better, just that the value may be better.
Dollars are limited for me so I need to allocate wisely where in the audio chain I put the money. NOS WE300B's, for example, are just not an option for me.
I think I will turn my attention to trying various cartridges and phono preamps.
