when looking at the parameters tubes like 437a / 417a / 7119 / 7308 /e288cc /EC8010 should be clear winners. Surprisingly I haven't found to many octals with impressive parameters...A good parameter is one thing. But what are your listening experiences ? What are your favourites ?
I am planning to build a new preamp and I am not yet sure what my favourite tubes should be.
