When I first started my entry-level system, I was looking to buy just a basic, NAD integrated amp for around $300-500. I ended up buying the Parasound HCA-1000A, and I have to say that, for the price, it's really quite neutral and detailed and warm (for a SS). Probably one of more solid budget SS amps I know out there.
