Its nice to hear that you found a new amp you can live with. I dont think comparing a nice tube amp to a Parasound solid state amp is a good way to justify the sound of solid state being bad. Some solid state amps will rock your balls off, then again some tube amps will do the same. Enjoy the amp, have fun tube swapping. I'm still content in transistor land because I am too poor to experiment with amps beyond 700$
