Be sure that the correct fuses are installed on the B+ voltage supply. My C-J amp would make "snapping" noises and sometimes cutout after warming up. Touching the fuse holders would also cause it. The culprit turned out to be the wrong size fuse. BBS-1 and KTK-1 fuses are rated the same electrically but are not the same physically. C-J switched to a fuse holder that could use both, but the earlier models needed KTK-1's.
