RE: Amperex Herleen Holland White Label 1962-1964

Either labelled Amperex Holland or Bugle Boy. These are the best sounding 6 volt tubes ever made IMO. I have listened to 6CG7/6FQ7 + 6SN7 tubes----can't stand to listen to them at all.....

Earlier Amperex 6DJ8 "D" Getter and Large Hoop Getter (1958-1961) tend to sound more euphonic and are almost always microphonic or noisy.

In genereal, finding a matched pair of any vintage Amperex 6dj8 suitable for use as a gain tube is almost impossible.

Siemens+Telefunken 6DJ8's are much easier to find noise/micro free.
