WWW i dont know how electrically inclined you are or your fear of electricity but with 250 you can scout garage sales a lot of times and stumble on to some nice tube gear that has to be modded to sound its best.You can also buy on ebay a nice vintage tube integrated amp and for your 250 I would consider a sherwood or a stromberg carlson.Fishers to are well built but i dont care for the sonics in any of my 500c and i have 4 of those and one 800c.
