I have a Jolida 202 -
only difference is the 303's
EL34 OP and bigger transformers.
Try a NOS 6072 in the first position
(they like the SRPP circuit-
see Bugle 45 schematic).
And a NOS 12BH7 in the second position
(lower output impedance to
drive the EL34s so easily)
You'll be amazed at the difference -
Deep musical bass, velvet mids
and soft extended highs.
Slightly less gain but OOOHHH the sound!!!
I used to listen with the volume knob at
8-9 O'clock and now it's at 11-12 O'clock.
I've been running mine with these
for about a year like this -
no problems.
