I'll chime with Jack on that one. The nasty secret about highly efficient speakers is that any little noise that goes unnoticed on a normal speaker will be a roar on the Duos.As far as power, no, you can't really have too much if it's clean, good power. Higher powered amps will be more dynamic and more effortless, but then low powered SETs have a different magic of their own. It depends on the size of the room and how loud is loud to you.
